X-ray Fluorescence Analyzer

X-ray fluorescence analysis is a method to determine the species and content of trace elements in a substance, also known as X-ray secondary emission spectrometry, it is the use of primary X-ray photons or other microscopic particles to stimulate the atoms in the matter to be measured to produce secondary characteristic x-rays (x-ray fluorescence) for material composition analysis and chemical state studies.

Modern X-ray fluorescence spectrometer consists of the following parts: X-Ray Generator (X-ray tube, high-voltage power supply and stable steady-current device), light detection system (analysis crystal, collimator and detector), recording system (Pulse Radiation analyzer, calibration meter, timer, integrator, recorder). Different elements have different characteristic x-ray spectra, and the fluorescence intensity of each spectral line is related to the concentration of elements, and the determination of the wavelength and intensity of the characteristic x-ray spectral lines of the elements to be measured can be qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed. The method has the advantages of simple spectral line, fast analysis speed, many elements of measurement and simultaneous analysis, and is one of the three analytical methods widely used in elemental analysis of Atmospheric particulate matter (the other two methods are neutron activation analysis and proton fluorescence analysis).
